Requirements

• Registered by the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a Certified Nursing Assistant
• One year of relevant experience required
• Driver’s license, personal automobile, and current automobile liability insurance
• Self-motivation
• Time management
• Ability to build trust and rapport with patients and families
• Ability to function in stressful situations
• Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

• Hospice experience, preferred

Responsibilities

• Assisting with hygiene, toileting, mobility, medication, and meal preparation.
• Measuring and recording fluid intake/output, and reporting changes to the nurse supervisor.
• Maintaining electronic medical records (EMR) and documenting services provided.
• Performing light housekeeping duties in the patient area.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant environment while following infection control principles.
• Recognizing and responding to emergencies.
• Maintaining competency and registration.
