About The Position

Hospice of the West is seeking a full-time Hospice Aide (CNA) to provide hands-on care that brings comfort and dignity to patients at the end of life. Working closely with the nursing team, the aide helps meet each patient's physical, emotional, and personal needs with respect, empathy, and professionalism. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with coverage in Central and East Tucson. Its team supports patients and their loved ones with comfort and compassion, recognizing that hospice care extends beyond medical needs to dignity, peace, and human connection.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant certificate in the state where working.
At least one year of CNA experience in an acute-care or long-term-care setting.
Current CPR certification if required by the state.
Current driver's license and vehicle insurance.
Access to dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

Follow each patient's plan of care to support comfort and well-being, and respond promptly and compassionately to requests from patients and their families or caregivers.
Assist patients with personal care needs, including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding and clothing, and shampooing.
Provide exceptional customer service and work to ensure patient satisfaction.
Share knowledge and expertise with families, guiding and supporting them in caring for terminally ill loved ones.
Maintain accurate documentation in patients' homes and in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
