This position participates in the Annual Flower Program, including flower unit counts, design layout assistance, and plant installation. Responsibilities include routine maintenance of color locations, such as weed control, fertility, and soil level maintenance. The role involves receiving program flower stock and other associated plants, placing them in the UF nursery, and maintaining them. Propagation of plant material and maintenance of newly propagated material is also required. Assistance with high-profile landscape areas is expected. The position requires operating State Vehicles, including pick-up trucks, heavy-duty utility vehicles, trailers, and golf carts. This role also involves other related work as assigned. A post-offer Health Assessment and Hearing Evaluation are required, along with maintaining a valid Florida Class E Driver’s License and passing a Criminal Background Check.
