About The Position

The College of Agricultural Sciences is seeking a part-time Horticulture/Greenhouse Worker. The role involves caring for plants and insect colonies, helping lab personnel prepare experiments, and cleaning and organizing materials used in greenhouse and laboratory work. The starting rate is $19 per hour. Employment is contingent on successfully completing required background checks. Because the role requires operating a motor vehicle, a valid driver’s license and successful motor vehicle records check are also required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic care for plants and insect colonies.
• Assist lab personnel with experimental setup.
• Wash used plant pots and trays.
• Arrange and organize pots and trays in the greenhouse.
• Clean bottles and flasks in the lab.
• Arrange and organize cleaned bottles and flasks in the lab and maintain overall lab cleanliness.
