About The Position

The College of Agricultural Sciences is seeking a part-time Horticulture/Greenhouse Worker. The role supports plant and insect colony care, laboratory experiments, greenhouse organization, and general laboratory cleanliness. The starting rate is $19 per hour. Employment requires successful completion of background checks. Because operating a motor vehicle is part of the job duties, a valid driver’s license and successful motor vehicle records check are also required.

• Successful completion of required background checks and a motor vehicle records check.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic care for plants and insect colonies.
• Assist laboratory personnel with experimental setup.
• Wash used pots and trays used for growing plants.
• Arrange and organize pots and trays in the greenhouse.
• Clean bottles and flasks in the laboratory.
• Arrange and organize cleaned bottles and flasks in the laboratory and maintain overall laboratory cleanliness.
