About The Position

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Grand Canyon University (GCU) is seeking dedicated faculty and leaders committed to inspiring and guiding students. As dynamic mentors, faculty foster academic, spiritual, and personal growth. This role offers fulfilling opportunities for adjunct faculty to teach part-time, in-person courses at the Phoenix campus. The ideal candidate is a motivated educator eager to provide high-quality instruction in a modern, collaborative environment with smaller class sizes. The Honors Symposium course is a first-year course that builds upon topics of ethics, service, leadership, research, cultural awareness, and innovative thinking. Students will explore their industry, investigate local and global issues, and brainstorm solutions to real-world problems. The course integrates professional development to prepare students for future careers.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in any field/discipline.
  • Attach unofficial transcripts for any applicable conferred graduate degrees.
  • Attach any applicable licenses/certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Equip students with the required skill set.
  • Facilitate classroom discussions.
  • Assess student performance.
  • Prepare students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession.
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
