About The Position

Economy Honda Superstore, a Sonic Automotive family dealership, is hiring a Honda Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance work according to repair orders and dealership and factory standards. The technician diagnoses malfunctions, completes repairs, coordinates with the parts department, documents work performed, and communicates promptly with service advisors about additional work or delays. Vehicles may need to be road-tested when required. Compensation is listed as flat-rate pay of $21–$35 based on experience, certifications, and skills; the additional information also lists hourly compensation of USD $21–$30.

Requirements

ASE certification, manufacturer training, or at least 2 years of experience.
Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Must be authorized to work in the USA.
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, and drug test, and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Receive repair orders from the dispatcher and take them to the stall area.
Perform work described on repair orders efficiently and accurately in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform repairs.
Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
Save and tag parts when the job is under warranty or the customer requests it.
Examine vehicles to determine whether additional safety or service work is required.
Notify the service advisor immediately if additional work is not needed or required.
Notify the service advisor immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
Document work performed.
Road-test vehicles when required or refer them to the test technician; do not use customer vehicles for personal errands.
Perform duties and responsibilities safely.
