About The Position

Economy Honda Superstore, part of the Sonic Automotive family, is hiring a Honda Technician. The role involves completing vehicle repairs and service work efficiently and accurately in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Technicians receive flat-rate pay of $21–$35, based on experience, certifications, and skills.

Requirements

ASE certification, manufacturing training, or at least 2 years of experience.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Must be authorized to work in the USA.
Must perform duties and responsibilities safely.
Must be able to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, an MVR check, and a drug test, and provide a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Receive repair orders from the dispatcher and take them to the stall area.
Perform work described on repair orders efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards.
Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs.
Coordinate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
Save and tag parts when a job is under warranty or when requested by the customer.
Inspect vehicles to determine whether additional safety or service work is required.
Promptly notify the service advisor if outlined additional work is not needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
Document work performed.
Road-test vehicles when required, or refer them to the test technician; do not use customer vehicles for personal errands.
