About The Position

Hawaiian Legacy Home Care is hiring non-medical Homemaker Caregivers for the Windward side of Oʻahu, including Kailua and Kaneohe. The role provides in-home companionship and practical household support to clients. CNA or Nurse Aide certification is not required. Hours vary according to client needs and caregiver availability; caregivers may begin with a few shifts and take on more as assignments become available. The agency aims to provide consistent client assignments whenever possible.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Pass a background check and obtain TB clearance under HAR §11-700.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Be compassionate, dependable, and respectful.
• Be comfortable working independently in a client's home.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to perform light physical tasks, including lifting up to about 25 pounds.
• Have a smartphone for scheduling and documentation.
• Have reliable transportation for most assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction.
• Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, cleaning, and organizing.
• Prepare meals and assist with grocery errands.
• Help maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
• Observe and report changes or concerns.
• Document visits using the mobile care system.
