About The Position

Inclusion Langley Society is a leading non-profit organization providing services and support to children, youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Langley and surrounding communities. Established in 1959, the Society delivers a comprehensive range of community-based programs that support over 3,000 individuals annually in achieving greater independence, inclusion and quality of life. We are currently seeking a regular part-time Home Sharing & Adult Respite Services Coordinator to lead and support high-quality, person-centered services for individuals and families. Reporting to the Director, Home Share and Adult Respite Services works as part of a highly collaborative team, where our successful incumbent will oversee the day-to-day coordination of Home Sharing and Adult Respite services including recruiting and supporting independent contractors, ensuring service quality, and working collaboratively with families, community partners, and CLBC to achieve positive outcomes. This is an impactful role where you will directly influence the quality of life for individuals by ensuring safe, respectful, and inclusive support environments.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in community social services.
  • Strong knowledge of CLBC services, home sharing, and person-centered and trauma-informed practices.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with complex support needs.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to remain professional, compassionate, and calm in high‑stress situations.
  • Proficiency with Office 365, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • This role requires the incumbent to undergo a Police Information Check (PIC), and a Vulnerable Sector Check by the Ministry of Justice.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Valid First Aid.
  • MANDT (Relational or Technical)

Nice To Haves

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in community health, social services, disability studies, or healthcare administration is preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, screen, and support Home Share and Respite providers.
  • Coordinate and monitor service delivery to ensure compliance with CLBC standards and ILS policies.
  • Build strong relationships with individuals served, families, and contractors.
  • Facilitate person-centered planning and support advocacy efforts.
  • Monitor quality, conduct assessments, and respond to risks or concerns.
  • Collaborate with community partners and professionals.
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement and program development.
