Home Health Speech Therapist
About The Position
Human Touch Home Health is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to deliver home health services across Fairfax County, Loudoun County, and Prince William County, Virginia. This PRN role offers a flexible schedule, allowing you to set your own hours and provide direct, one-on-one patient care. You will be responsible for conducting speech-language evaluations, developing personalized treatment plans for various communication and swallowing disorders, and providing therapy in patients' homes. Additionally, you will educate patients and their caregivers on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques, and collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team.
Requirements
- Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Home health experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Complete speech-language evaluations, reassessments, and discharge planning
- Develop individualized treatment plans for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Provide skilled therapy services in patients’ homes
- Educate patients and caregivers on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques
- Coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
