About The Position

Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Home Health Speech Therapist position. This role is part of an in-house program within a welcoming, slower-paced community environment that delivers holistic care with a strong focus on prevention. We offer specialized on-site training delivered during paid work hours, with some sessions eligible for CEUs. Our facilities feature state-of-the-art rehab gyms and equipment. This position provides an opportunity to build relationships by following residents across the full continuum of care, including inpatient, home health, outpatient, and fitness services. Our approach is clinically driven, with patient-centered treatment decisions guiding all programs and care plans. Cross-training is provided to support all rehabilitation areas within our communities. There is limited travel within and between our private communities. As a non-profit organization, student loan forgiveness is available after 10 years. In this role, you will be responsible for providing speech language pathology therapy services to home health residents/clients in their home environment to promote functional independence, safety, and quality of life. You will evaluate residents/clients, develop individualized plans of care, implement evidence-based interventions, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to achieve optimal outcomes in compliance with physician orders, state practice acts, and federal and state home health regulations.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in speech language pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid Speech Language Pathology license or eligibility for license in the state(s) where services are rendered
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Compliance with Florida's Care Provider Background Screening process.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in home health is preferred
