About The Position

BrightStar Care is seeking a caregiver for a one-to-one role providing care to clients in their own homes. The work includes hands-on personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, and other support with daily activities. Flexible scheduling is available, with up to full-time hours. The employer is seeking someone able to work every other weekend, or two weekend days per month. Shift lengths range from 1 to 12 hours. One-hour shifts pay $30 per hour, two-hour shifts pay $22.50 per hour, and shifts of three hours or longer pay a base rate of $19–$22 per hour depending on experience. Requirements

A compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience providing hands-on care in a setting such as home health, assisted living, a group home, or a hospital.
Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
Negative TB test or cleared chest X-ray.
Availability to work two weekend days per month.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship and conversation to clients.
Assist with daily activities, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
Provide physical assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
Accompany clients to appointments and social outings, providing transportation as needed.
Monitor and report changes in clients’ health, behavior, and needs.
Communicate with the RN Case Manager as part of the care coordination team to update the plan of care.
