Caregiver Needed - Ahwatukee - Weekends Only

The Next Chapter - Senior Care Solutions•Phoenix, AZ
•$20 - $25•Onsite

About The Position

The Next Chapter Senior Care Solutions is hiring a caregiver for ongoing Saturday and Sunday coverage in a private home in the Ahwatukee Foothills. The initial schedule is 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. both days, or 16 hours per week. Sunday shifts are expected to extend to approximately 10 to 12 hours within the first 4 to 6 weeks, bringing the weekend schedule to about 20 hours per week. The exact extended hours will be determined once care is underway, with notice provided as the schedule firms up. This is a long-term assignment seeking continuity with one consistent caregiver. The caregiver will provide safety-focused companionship to a senior male client returning home after a health event. He is largely independent, has no cognitive decline, and is at high risk of falls. The role involves staying close and observant and providing hands-on support as appropriate, though extensive hands-on care is not expected. The client values his independence and privacy, and the caregiver should be friendly, confident, discreet, and attentive to when he wants conversation or space. The home has housekeeping services, so housekeeping is not part of the role. Simple dinner preparation is a plus; the client also often orders dinner. Shifts may include downtime, conversation, and watching movies or YouTube shows with the client. The agency describes itself as a local, family-owned, concierge-level home care agency focused on whole-person care, continuity, caregiver support, and matching caregivers to client needs. It offers ongoing training, leadership support, and consideration for additional client assignments and leadership roles for strong performers.
