About The Position

Maximum Care, Inc. is seeking a Direct Care Worker to support elderly people, people with disabilities, and participants with intellectual disabilities. The role provides respectful physical and emotional care related to illness, injury, or disability while protecting participants’ dignity and rights. Duties may include light housekeeping, errands, transportation, accompanying clients to appointments, medication assistance or reminders, meal preparation, food shopping, personal assistance with daily living, and companionship. The position is advertised for weekends, 18 hours, with flexible scheduling. Part-time and full-time options are also mentioned. Training is provided through a mobile app, and face-to-face interaction is conducted via Zoom.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to complete a criminal background report.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for (sometimes) a long period of time.

Responsibilities

Care for participants and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.
Provide physical and emotional care related to illness, injury, disability, or other needs.
Provide light housekeeping, run errands, or provide transportation as needed.
Accompany clients to appointments and assist with or remind them about medications.
Prepare meals, purchase food, and provide personal assistance with general living needs.
Provide personal services such as toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming.
Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging, and assisting participants.
