About The Position
Maximum Care, Inc. is seeking a Direct Care Worker to provide in-home support to seniors and people with disabilities, including participants with intellectual disabilities. The role involves providing physical and emotional care related to illness, injury, or disability while treating participants and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect. Home assistance may include light housekeeping, errands, transportation, accompanying clients to appointments, medication reminders, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and personal assistance with daily living needs such as toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming. The aide also provides companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging, and assisting the participant. The position offers flexible schedules and is advertised as 40 hours. The company provides mobile-based applications and training, with face-to-face interaction via Zoom. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to complete a criminal background report.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for sometimes long periods.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical and emotional care to participants due to illness, injury, disability, or other needs.
- Treat participants and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.
- Provide light housekeeping, run errands, and provide transportation when needed.
- Accompany clients to appointments and assist with or remind them about medications.
- Prepare meals and purchase food.
- Provide personal assistance with daily living needs, including toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging, and assisting participants.
