Home Health Aide - Weekends
About The Position
The Home Health Aide provides direct patient care and personal care to adult clients, keeping records of personal health care activities in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements. The role is performed under the direction of the Client Services Supervisor and requires experience with dementia patients. Employees in the Flex 2 Per Diem Program commit to working two shifts every other weekend. Shifts are assigned according to organizational needs and may range from four to 12 hours; additional shifts may be available. If the organization requests additional coverage, hours worked over 40 in a week are paid at time and one-half.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide.
- CNA or HHA certification.
- Valid Connecticut driver's license.
- Dementia patient experience is required.
- Commitment to work two shifts every other weekend.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and transport adult clients.
- Ability to work some flexible hours.
