About The Position

Visiting Angels Corsicana is hiring a part-time Home Health Aide to provide compassionate care and companionship to senior adults and others in need in Corsicana and surrounding communities. The role supports clients with daily activities, including personal care, mobility, meal preparation, transportation, and light housekeeping. Caregivers may also have opportunities for advanced training in dementia care or Alzheimer’s care.

Requirements

• Passion for serving others and a genuine caregiving orientation.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Respectful and compassionate approach.
• Good time management skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ethics.
• Physical endurance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including doctor’s appointments and walks.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from clients when they are able.
• Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients cannot complete on their own.
• Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
• Report unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
