About The Position

Maximum Care, Inc. is seeking a Direct Care Worker to provide respectful, compassionate care to elderly people, people with disabilities, and participants with intellectual disabilities. The role supports participants’ physical and emotional needs related to illness, injury, or disability while protecting their dignity and rights. The position includes help with daily living and household needs, such as light housekeeping, errands, transportation, appointments, medication reminders, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and personal care. Personal services may include toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming. The worker also provides companionship and conversation, and encourages and assists participants. Maximum Care, Inc. has been in business for over 40 years. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to complete a criminal background report.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
Must be able to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for sometimes long periods.

Responsibilities

Provide participants with physical and emotional care related to illness, injury, disability, or other needs.
Care for participants and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.
Provide light housekeeping, run errands, and provide transportation when needed.
Accompany clients to appointments and assist with or remind them about medications.
Prepare meals and purchase food.
Provide personal assistance with general living needs, including toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming.
Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging, and assisting participants.
