Home Health Aide (HHA or CNA)
About The Position
Giving Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate HHA or CNA to provide one-on-one care to a patient in the patient’s home in Hernandez, New Mexico. The caregiver will administer care according to a physician-established care plan and support the patient’s daily living and personal care needs. The position is a 1099 contract opportunity. The patient’s benefit has no expiration, allowing caregivers to build long-term relationships with patients. The schedule is five hours per day, Monday through Friday. Morning hours are preferred, with flexibility from early morning through late morning. The caregiver will collaborate with other CNAs, HHAs, case managers, the patient’s physicians, family, and other designated individuals. Offers are contingent upon passing a background check. Compensation is $15–$20 per hour.
Requirements
- Ability to monitor vital signs.
- Dependable transportation.
- Current CPR certification.
- Pass a background check; offers are contingent upon passing.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one service to the patient in the patient’s home.
- Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
- Perform light housekeeping.
- Prepare meals.
- Monitor vital signs, temperature, respiration, and other measures according to the plan of care.
- Remind the patient to take medication as prescribed.
- Maintain records and documentation of services.
- Communicate with the patient’s family, doctors, and other designated individuals about the patient’s health and care.
