About The Position

Interim HealthCare is seeking a compassionate and dependable Home Health Aide (CNA) to provide personalized, patient-centered care in patients’ homes. The role supports patients’ comfort, independence, safety, and quality of life through assistance with daily living activities and monitoring of their well-being.

The aide provides dedicated 1:1 patient care and works with home health nurses and aides to follow each patient’s care plan. The position is associated with the Columbia, South Carolina area and offers PRN scheduling, competitive hourly pay, mileage reimbursement, and a 401(k) with employer match.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in South Carolina.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Compassionate nature and good communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Home Health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for seniors and people with an illness, injury, or chronic disease in their homes.
• Assist with daily activities, including bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, hygiene, nail and skin care, eating, and nutritional intake.
• Assist patients with ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Check vital signs, measure intake and output, monitor blood glucose, and document changes.
• Work with home health nurses and aides to ensure the patient’s care plan is followed.
• Observe patients and notify a supervisor about issues that may require changes to care, medication, or medical equipment.
