About The Position

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) for a consistent part-time private duty assignment supporting an adult female client in her home and community. This client is currently undergoing cancer treatment and uses a wheelchair for mobility. We are looking for a caregiver who is confident assisting with personal care while also helping the client maintain as much independence, dignity, and connection to her normal routine as possible.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional caregiving experience
• CNA or HHA experience strongly preferred
• Experience assisting clients with significant mobility limitations and wheelchair use
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current automobile insurance
• Strong attendance and dependability
• Comfortable providing transportation as a regular part of the assignment
• Compassionate, patient, professional, and respectful of client privacy and personal choices
• Ability to provide inclusive, nonjudgmental care to clients of all backgrounds, including members of the LGBTQ+ community
• Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries while developing a positive caregiver-client relationship

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting clients with cancer, chronic illness, or complex care needs is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care
• Provide safe wheelchair and mobility assistance
• Assist with meal preparation and light household tasks related to the client’s care
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Transport and accompany the client to medical appointments, errands, and other community activities
• Assist with safe entry and exit from the vehicle
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment
• Communicate appropriately regarding changes in the client’s condition or care needs
