About The Position

Join Our Team at Red Deer Home Centre! Are you dedicated to providing exceptional customer service? Do you excel in fast-paced environments? If so, Red Deer Home Centre presents the perfect opportunity for you! We're currently looking for part-time Home Centre Cashier to join our dynamic team. This is a temporary, part-time seasonal role expected to last 4 months, with hours ranging from 24–36 per week. Availability is needed for weekdays and weekends, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Requirements

• Exceptional attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills
• Team player with the ability to work independently
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required
• Applicants must be over 14 years old. (Employment Standards mandates a permit to employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required)

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and respond to customer questions
• Watering and plant care inside store and in garden center
• Ensure accurate processing of sale transactions
• Bag and assist with carrying out purchases
• Assist in setting up and maintaining merchandise displays
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
