About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring compassionate, reliable caregivers to support clients in their homes across Norfolk and Suffolk Counties and surrounding areas. Caregivers assist with daily activities, mobility, meals, medication reminders, companionship, and maintaining a safe home environment. The agency provides an RN Supervisor for field support, training, client matching, and resources to help caregivers succeed and advance. Occasional client transportation for appointments or errands may be required, with mileage reimbursement.

Requirements

Proficiency in English.
Current CNA or HHA certification, or caregiving experience.
Strong communication skills and a caring nature.
Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Ability to pass background checks.
Show enthusiasm for helping others, eagerness to learn, and motivation to provide excellent care.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in home care or a similar setting is a plus but not necessary.
Nursing students seeking patient care experience.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily activities.
Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise, and walking.
Prepare and serve meals.
Provide medication reminders; training is provided.
Provide companionship and engage clients in activities.
Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients’ homes.
Occasionally transport clients to appointments or errands; mileage is reimbursed.
Follow care plans and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Demonstrate dedication to clients and respect for the agency’s team.
