About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate, reliable caregivers to provide personalized in-home support to clients in Norfolk and Suffolk Counties and surrounding areas. Caregivers help clients maintain dignity, comfort, independence, and quality of life while building connections and providing companionship. An RN Supervisor supports caregivers in the field, and the agency provides training, resources, and assistance with client matching. The position pays $19.00–$22.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English.
• Current CNA or HHA certification, or caregiving experience.
• Nursing students seeking patient-care experience are welcome.
• Strong communication skills and a caring nature.
• Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in home care or a similar setting is a plus, but is not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise, and walking.
• Prepare and serve meals.
• Provide medication reminders; training is provided.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients’ homes.
• Occasionally transport clients to appointments or errands; mileage is reimbursed.
• Follow clients’ care plans and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Demonstrate dedication to clients and respect for the agency’s team.
