About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate, reliable caregivers to provide personalized in-home support to clients in Norfolk and Suffolk Counties and surrounding areas. Caregivers help clients remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their homes while preserving their dignity and quality of life. The agency provides an RN Supervisor for field support, prepares caregivers for their assignments, and works to match them with suitable clients. Training and ongoing support are provided, including training on medication reminders. The role may include occasional transportation to appointments or errands, with mileage reimbursed.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English.
• Current CNA or HHA certification, caregiving experience, or nursing-student status seeking patient-care experience.
• Strong communication skills and a caring nature.
• Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in home care or a similar setting is a plus, but not required.
• Eagerness to learn and motivation to provide excellent care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise, and walking.
• Prepare and serve meals.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients’ homes.
• Occasionally transport clients to appointments or errands; mileage is reimbursed.
• Follow care plans and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Demonstrate dedication to clients and respect for the agency’s team.
