About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring caregivers to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in clients’ homes across Norfolk and Suffolk Counties and surrounding areas. Caregivers help clients with daily activities, mobility, meals, medication reminders, companionship, and maintaining a clean and safe home. The company provides training, support from an RN Supervisor, and assistance finding a suitable client match. Occasional transportation to appointments or errands may be required, with mileage reimbursed.

Requirements

Proficiency in English.
Current CNA or HHA certification, or caregiving experience.
Strong communication skills and a caring nature.
Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Ability to pass background checks.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in home care or a similar setting is a plus but not necessary.
Nursing students seeking patient care experience.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other daily activities while maintaining their dignity and comfort.
Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise, and walking.
Prepare and serve meals.
Provide medication reminders; training is provided.
Offer companionship and engage clients in activities.
Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients’ homes.
Occasionally transport clients to appointments or errands; mileage is reimbursed.
Follow the care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Demonstrate dedication to clients and respect for the agency’s team.
