About The Position
We are seeking compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical in-home support to clients. Caregivers assist with activities of daily living, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and companionship to help clients maintain independence and quality of life in their homes. The role includes following individualized care plans, supporting safe mobility, and reporting and documenting client care and observations. Flexible scheduling is available, with full-time and part-time positions and shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours. Pay is $16.50–$18.50 per hour, based on experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Valid driver license and reliable transportation.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Smartphone with a data plan for scheduling and the documentation app.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in caregiving, home care, or a related field.
- Experience with dementia or Alzheimer care.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or Certified Home Health Aide certification.
- Experience with electronic health records or care documentation apps.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to clients’ dietary needs and preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, and tidying living spaces.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics.
- Remind clients to take medications as prescribed; medication administration is non-medical.
- Escort clients to appointments and run essential errands.
- Monitor and report changes in client condition to the care coordinator.
- Document care activities and observations accurately and promptly.
- Follow each client’s individualized care plan.
