About The Position
University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistant to join our team in Romeo, MI. In this role, you will provide essential in-home care and support to clients, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Requirements
- Ability to follow care plans and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, compassionate, and patient demeanor.
- Must pass background checks.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in home care or a related caregiving role is a plus, but NOT required.
- Reliable transportation is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide medication reminders and support clients with adhering to their prescribed healthcare routines.
- Help with light housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and safe living environment.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting social interaction and mental well-being.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients’ health or behavior to supervisory staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
