About The Position

Interim HealthCare is hiring Home Care Aides/Caregivers to provide personalized, home-based care for seniors in Dunsmuir, Mt. Shasta, and Yreka, California. The role offers $18.00 per hour and 31 hours available to start. Aides support clients with daily activities and help them live safely at home while providing companionship and engaging them in enjoyable activities. The position features 1:1 aide-to-client ratios and scheduling flexibility. Health benefits are available to employees who meet minimum hours requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clear background check and drug screen; THC is not tested for.
• Valid California driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation.
• Compassionate and helpful nature, good communication skills, and ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in a healthcare role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to help seniors live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
• Help clients with ambulation, transferring, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders, document clients’ conditions, and notify a supervisor of concerns.
• Maintain a safe home environment, including keeping pathways unobstructed.
• Engage clients in activities they enjoy, such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.
