About The Position

Visiting Angels Midtown is hiring compassionate, experienced caregivers to provide non-medical in-home care for seniors and people with disabilities so they can remain in their homes. Care ranges from companionship and personal care to support for people living with chronic disease, recovering from stroke, or recovering from surgery. Caregivers are matched with clients based on skill level and personality, and may schedule as many or as few hours as they desire. The position is based in Davis, California, and work is performed in person. Available shifts include full-time and part-time work in 8-hour or 10-hour shifts. The stated pay is $19.00–$21.00 per hour, depending on availability and experience; expected hours are 20–45 per week.

Requirements

At least one year of in-home care experience, professional or private.
Be at least 18 years old and legally able to work in the United States.
Be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 and provide a shot record.
Have a valid driver's license and a clean DMV record.
Have reliable transportation.
Have excellent communication skills.
Be able to use a smartphone for electronic visit verification (EVV) and caregiver notes.
Pass extensive background checks, including Live Scan fingerprinting.
Have a negative TB screening within the last 90 days.
Be registered on the California Home Care Aide Registry.
Be compassionate, understanding, flexible, and have a genuine desire to help others.

Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are welcomed.
