About The Position

A family in South Orange County, CA is seeking a part-time direct companion caregiver for their 34-year-old adult son with autism. The role requires a psychosocial approach to the plan of care, utilizing clinical judgment and a strength-based approach to adapt techniques as needed. The caregiver will employ positive behavior support strategies to minimize challenging behaviors and foster a supportive partnership with the client and family, while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and respect.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, education, social work).
• At least two years of experience.
• Experience with Autistic Adults.
• Flexibility.
• Residency in Orange County.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Possession of a vehicle.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in special education or mental health-related fields.
• Experience in care for adults with autism or direct care for mental health clients.

Responsibilities
