About The Position

This is a highly responsible professional supervisory position within the Patient Care and Treatment Access Program unit of the HIV/AIDS Section, Bureau of Communicable Diseases, Division of Disease Control and Health Protection. This position serves as the Quality and Operations Manager for the program. This position requires effective written and oral communications skills, knowledge, and of strategic planning, performance measurement, program evaluation, quality improvement techniques, the ability to acquire knowledge, and the ability to work independently without supervision. Responsible for the supervision of staff including appraisals, planning and directing staff work, approving leave and having authority to hire and taking disciplinary action or effectively recommending such actions.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of quality improvement techniques.
  • Knowledge of Strategic and operational planning.
  • Knowledge of program measurement and program evaluation.
  • Knowledge of Public Health Accreditation preferred.
  • Effective oral written communication skills.
  • Ability to use direct influence.
  • Ability to build and manage teams.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings.
  • Ability to teach quality improvement methods such as problem solving, root cause analysis improvement strategy.
  • Identification, action planning and monitoring, evaluation, data analysis and presentation.
  • Skills in critical thinking.
  • Skills in analyzing performance data.
  • Skills in data presentation.
  • State or national certification in one or quality improvement techniques such as Florida sterling model, Six Sigma, Quality Improvement by the American Society of Quality.
  • Experience with program implementation and oversight.
  • Ability to learn and communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Public Health Accreditation preferred.
