About The Position

The HIV Nurse Navigator nurse will join a multidisciplinary HIV Prevention team focused on reducing the incidence of HIV through education, testing, preventive treatment, linkage to care, and collaboration with the clinical and lay community population. The nurse will educate and engage providers to increase PrEP access in the community, provide oversight and case management for new and enrolled PrEP clients, and work collaboratively with the HIV team and GNR clinical operations to optimize HIV prevention activities in Gwinnett, Newton and Rockdale counties. This position will require travel within the three-county Public Health District and nontraditional work hours attending outreach and testing events in the community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
  • Three years of nursing experience
  • Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license
  • CPR certified
  • Submission of a 3 year MVR (Driving Record) with application

Nice To Haves

  • One year Public Health experience.
  • One year experience providing HIV prevention focused clinical services including PrEP.
  • Completion of National HIV Curriculum continuing education.
  • Bilingual (Spanish preferred).

Benefits

  • Pay Grade: L
  • The offered salary range for this position is $66,000 - $75,900 (Based on Education)
