About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a Hitch Service Technician to work in the lot of a U-Haul Moving and Storage Center, using technical skills to provide service and support to customers. The role involves explaining U-Haul towing packages, recommending and installing suitable packages on customer vehicles, and participating in ongoing education through U-Haul University. The posted compensation range is $15.92 to $18.00 per hour. The position is located at 6701 Tonnelle Ave, North Bergen, New Jersey 07047, and is not eligible for employer sponsorship. Applicants must already be legally authorized to work without employer sponsorship. U-Haul offers paid hands-on working interviews and describes hiring and certification bonuses. Requirements

Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
Basic wiring experience.
Hand and power tool experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be legally authorized to work without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Understand and explain U-Haul’s variety of towing packages.
Recommend and install the appropriate tow package on customer vehicles.
Provide exceptional customer service and support to U-Haul customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
