KIPP Public Schools Northern California is hiring a full-time History / Ethnic Studies Teacher for the 2026–27 school year. Teachers bring the organization’s academic and cultural visions to life by designing engaging lessons, using data to guide instruction, and creating classrooms where students can learn and thrive. The role integrates Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Restorative Practices to foster joyful, inclusive, and safe communities. Teachers collaborate with their school’s Leadership Team, including an Instructional Coach, to strengthen their practice through weekly meetings, coaching, and feedback. The role also involves ongoing reflection on identity, equity, and systemic impact, and collective examination of teaching practices, student data, and school culture to support an anti-racist community and serve all students with excellence and dignity. This is an exempt position on a school-year calendar cycle, based at KIPP Northern California school sites. The organization is a nonprofit network of free public charter schools serving students across East Palo Alto, Oakland, San Francisco, San Lorenzo, San Jose, Redwood City, and Stockton.
