About The Position

The Histology Technologist will be responsible for following laboratory procedures for specimen collection, handling, and processing. This role involves surgical pathology dissection assistance, cutting and staining quality frozen sections within 20 minutes of receipt for diagnosis, embedding, performing special stains, evaluating stains, and notifying when supplies need to be ordered. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • HT (ASCP) Histotechnician required within 6 months from hire
  • HTL (ASCP) Histotechnologist required within 6 months from hire

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological Science preferred
  • One-year experience in histopathology preferred
