About The Position
The Histology Technician prepares tissue specimens for examination by a Pathologist. The role includes cutting and staining tissue sections, filing slides and blocks, preparing and maintaining solutions and reagents, ordering supplies, and instructing employees and students. This is a technical position involving routine work situations and requiring service orientation, precision, concentration, attention to detail, analysis and interpretation of information, and discretion and good judgment in decision-making.
Requirements
- HT (ASCP) certification is required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare tissue specimens for examination by the Pathologist.
