Requirements

High school diploma or GED
HTL(ASCP) or HT (ASCP) - American Society for Clinical Pathology
5+ years of histology experience
Demonstrated solid attention to detail and organizational skills
Demonstrated solid manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to work in a high-volume environment
Demonstrated solid leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to work in high-volume environment and maintain turnaround times

Nice To Haves

Completion of formal histology training program or equivalent on-the-job training
QIHC (ASCP)
Supervisory experience
Familiarity with medical terminology and LIS systems (e.g., Epic Beaker)

Responsibilities

Performs and oversees histology operations including embedding, microtomy, staining, and workflow coordination
Ensures high-quality slide production, adherence to regulatory standards, and supports laboratory efficiency and team performance
Provides leadership, training, and operational oversight within the histology section while maintaining hands-on technical competency
