About The Position

We are seeking a Histology Co-op to join our Translational Sciences team. You will be an integral part of our team supporting pre-clinical research and histology experimental activities. You will work closely with the histology team to ensure the smooth execution of experimental procedures, inventory management, preparation and imaging of samples.

Requirements

You are a student enrolled in cell/molecular biology, biomedical engineering, biochemistry, or similar program.
You have previous experience executing research in a wet lab setting, with the ability to perform experiments, and have a full understanding of the research and development process.
Outstanding attention to detail and ability to successfully execute experiments in a timely manner.
A burning desire to learn and explore various aspects of pre-clinical histology research in industrial settings.
Thrive in a multi-disciplinary, fast-paced environment and believe that we can accomplish more by working together as a team.

Nice To Haves

Hands-on experience with histology procedures and familiarity using software to perform image analysis.

Responsibilities

Supporting the execution of routine histology workflows, including tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining.
Performing standard histochemical and automated staining techniques to evaluate tissue structure and morphology.
Operating digital pathology equipment to capture high-quality images of stained tissue sections for analysis.
Managing logistical support for external studies, including preparing, tracking, and shipping samples to Contract Research Organizations (CROs).
Maintaining reliable inventory logs, updating protocol documents, and keeping meticulous records of experimental workflows.
Assisting in general laboratory operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and organized workspace within a busy research environment.
