About The Position

A community facility near Grants, New Mexico, is hiring a full-time, direct-hire HIM Director for a day-shift position. The HIM Director maintains hospital medical records, processes requests for release of medical information according to established policies and procedures, analyzes information and prepares appropriate reports, and transcribes medical and departmental documents as necessary. The role also serves as the HIPAA Privacy and Security Officer. The HIM Director reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 10 years of supervisory or management experience in Health Information Management.
• At least 3 years of HIPAA Privacy and Security management experience.
• AHIMA certification required.
