Requirements

Associate's Degree Health Information Management
2 years Healthcare setting

Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) - American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) required

Responsibilities

Assist department leadership with the coordination of essential HIM functions and workflows.
Assist with process improvement and standardization of HIM workflow.
Conduct quality reviews for focused studies related to accreditation requirements.
Monitor work queues and manage system issues.
Perform HIM essential functions and workflow duties, as needed, in the department.
Serve as subject matter expert on essential HIM functions and workflows.
Answer inquiries from departments regarding the HIM system and resolve issues or escalate, as appropriate.
Participate in the planning and testing of new systems and upgrades.
