Requirements
- Associate's Degree Health Information Management
- 2 years Healthcare setting
Nice To Haves
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) - American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) required
Responsibilities
- Assist department leadership with the coordination of essential HIM functions and workflows.
- Assist with process improvement and standardization of HIM workflow.
- Conduct quality reviews for focused studies related to accreditation requirements.
- Monitor work queues and manage system issues.
- Perform HIM essential functions and workflow duties, as needed, in the department.
- Serve as subject matter expert on essential HIM functions and workflows.
- Answer inquiries from departments regarding the HIM system and resolve issues or escalate, as appropriate.
- Participate in the planning and testing of new systems and upgrades.
