About The Position

Crunch Fitness is seeking energetic, enthusiastic people who are passionate about health and fitness to join its team. The role offers an opportunity to combine work, fitness, and fun while inspiring members to reach their fitness goals. Crunch describes its approach as making serious exercise fun through fitness and entertainment and a welcoming, “No Judgments” philosophy. The clubs offer state-of-the-art cardio and strength equipment, a weight room, full-service locker rooms with showers, tanning booths, HydroMassage beds, and a range of signature classes. The instructor reports to the Group Fitness Manager, General Manager, and Franchise Owner/Operator. The role includes teaching safe and effective exercise classes and following the club’s procedures, policies, and standards. The description notes that the position’s details may be changed or altered at any time. Department meetings may be monthly or weekly, and employee training meetings are also held.

Requirements

Maintain valid CPR certification.
Have a nationally accredited aerobic certification.
Experience teaching exercise classes for clients of all levels.
Strong customer service skills.
Good verbal communication skills.
Must be a United Citizen.

Nice To Haves

AFAA, ACE, or NASM certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Instruct safe and effective exercise classes.
Maintain all mandatory education certifications.
Follow all instructor sign-in and sign-out procedures.
Understand and follow all policies, procedures, and standards.
Demonstrate knowledge of the Crunch brand and model behavior in accordance with the Crunch mission statement.
Facilitate member requests or forward them to a manager.
Maintain a professional disposition at all times.
Follow all club and facility policies and procedures.
Follow all policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook.
Attend monthly or weekly department meetings and employee training meetings.
