By joining our Engineering Support Branch as a Highway Traffic Technician Assistant in Franklin County, you will have the opportunity to assist qualified staff in the installing or repairing traffic signals or lighting devices while learning to perform work on critical electrical traffic control devices.

Requirements

Valid driver's license
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be 18 years of age.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license to qualify for employment in this job classification.
Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Responsibilities

Will learn to place temporary traffic control devices and serve as a flagger during maintenance activities.
Assist qualified employees with on-call duties and emergency calls.
Perform visual inspections of electrical devices and lighting.
Repair nonhazardous energized traffic signal items in traffic signal cabinet.
