About The Position

The selected candidate will be placed in the classification in which they meet minimum qualifications. This role serves the public by working to make the roads in Ohio safer. The position involves attending training to obtain CDL licensure if not already licensed, performing highway maintenance activities such as flagging, pothole patching, repairing guardrails, litter pickup, and mowing, and performing snow and ice operations.

Requirements

  • Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary.
  • Must obtain Class B Commercial Drivers License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction
  • Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & decimals, percentages & fractions; ability to read, write & speak common English vocabulary; 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in operation of basic equipment.
  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Already a licensed CDL holder.
