About The Position

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking full-time Maintenance Technicians to perform highway maintenance operations in the Davie, Florida area. The role involves a variety of highway maintenance tasks and requires compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, on the night shift. Employees must be flexible and available for on-call work and daytime work when necessary. Pay starts at $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Maintain company background-check standards, including criminal-record, driving-record, and controlled-substance/drug testing requirements.
• Know local driving rules and regulations.
• Perform simple arithmetic functions.
• Adapt to changing technology.
• Use a smartphone and applications.
• Adjust to a changing work schedule and be flexible and available for on-call and daytime work when necessary.
• Work safely under varying environmental and weather conditions.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Operate hand and power tools.
• Have a clean driving record.
• Pass a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• Roadway maintenance or construction experience.
• MOT certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team performing highway maintenance tasks.
• Perform road patrol.
