About The Position

Father Nature Landscapes’ 2027 High School Immersion Program offers high school students a nine-week, full-time summer work experience with a full-service, high-end landscape firm in the Birmingham area. Participants will work on staff, gain hands-on experience that supplements classroom instruction, and explore horticulture and construction within the landscape industry in a supportive environment. The program includes competitive pay and opportunities to receive observation and evaluation from a personal mentor and other experienced staff.

Requirements

Submit a resume.
Must have turned 16 years old by May 29, 2026.
Must have a driver's license and independent transportation to and from work.
Ability to access and navigate the bulk yard, loading areas, office space, and other facility areas.
Ability to perform physical work outdoors during intense summer weather conditions.
Strength, stamina, mobility, and ability to carry 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Work full-time on staff for nine weeks during the summer.
Gain practical, hands-on experience in the landscape industry, including horticultural and construction work.
Participate in observation and evaluation by a personal mentor and other seasoned staff.
