About The Position

CUSD 303 is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a High School Family & Consumer Science Teacher, LTS at Compass Academy. This is a Long-Term Substitute (LTS) position with anticipated dates from 11/5/26 to 1/4/27. To be considered for the Substitute Team, candidates must possess a valid and active Illinois Professional Teaching License (PEL) with a (6-12) or (9-12) FACS Endorsement, or an Illinois Substitute Teaching License (SUB). The district does not accept Short Term Substitute Teaching Licenses. The Long Term Substitute Teacher rate is $220 per day. In addition to the online application, candidates must provide a valid Substitute or PEL license, two letters of reference, and a fingerprint-based background check from the Kane County ROE. Requirements

Valid and active Illinois Professional Teaching License (PEL) with (6-12) or (9-12) FACS Endorsement required.
Valid and active Illinois Professional Teaching License (PEL) or Illinois Substitute Teaching License (SUB) (requires a bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education).
Do not accept Short Term Substitute Teaching Licenses in D303.
In addition to the online application, a valid Substitute or PEL license, two letters of reference, and a fingerprint-based background check from the Kane County ROE must be provided.
