About The Position

Glendale School District is seeking High School Boys Wrestling Coach applicants. This position involves assisting in planning, organizing, and executing practices, guiding and motivating student athletes, and ensuring the safety of all participants. The coach will develop player fundamentals, supervise student athletes during events, and communicate effectively with school personnel, athletes, and parents. Responsibilities also include increasing athletic participation, maintaining equipment, and coordinating facility usage with the athletic director. A strong knowledge of the sport is essential.

Requirements

  • Must have or be able to obtain a coaching certificate.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a First Aid/CPR card.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and executing practices.
  • Guide and motivate student athletes.
  • Monitor the safety of all participants and follow safety protocols.
  • Develop player fundamentals.
  • Supervise student athletes to, at, and from events.
  • Communicate with school personnel, student athletes, and parents.
  • Increase athletic participation in the program.
  • Maintain equipment and inventory.
  • Coordinate with the athletic director and others for facility usage.
  • Knowledge of the sport.
